    Thank You Day

Little Feet Nursery believes learning should always be fun! Our aim is to combine academic milestones with emotional development for an experience that is both educational and heartwarming. Recently, we hosted an event celebrating “Thank You Day,” interlaced with enjoyable hands-on Math and English activities for maximum educational impact.
Today was an extraordinary day full of laughter, gratitude, and remarkable early learning! Witnessing our little ones demonstrate thanks while engaging their minds through numbers and letters was truly heartening here’s looking back on all the wonderful activities taking place in our nursery.

The Magic of Gratitude: Thank You Day

Teaching young children Gratitude is one of the most essential life lessons. On “Thank You Day”, our aim was not just for children to say polite words rather we encouraged them to recognize those who help them every day and find innovative ways of showing it! We wanted them to recognize those they owe thanks too and find creative ways of showing it.

Children were filled with creativity as they took part in an activity to make “Thank You” cards to give as presents to loved ones from mom and dad, teachers, friends or school helpers for keeping spaces tidy to others they appreciate in society. The nursery buzzed with creativity as these kids created colorful masterpieces decorated with crayons, stickers and glitter.

Fun with Numbers: Math Activities for Fun

Though our gratitude warmed our hearts, our math activities got those little wheels turning. At this age, math shouldn’t consist of rigid drills; rather it should focus on recognizing patterns, counting with confidence and comprehending how numbers operate in the world around us.

At this event, we created interactive math stations designed to make numbers feel like games for children. Children took part in counting challenges where they needed to group objects including colorful buttons and toy blocks into specific sets in order to count. This hands on approach provided them with valuable opportunities to practice understanding quantity as well as one-to-one correspondence.

At our classroom we also introduced shape recognition games. Children went on a “shape hunt”, looking out for circles, squares and triangles in everyday objects like clocks or books to spot shapes like circles or rectangles it was wonderful watching their faces light up when they noticed clocks are circles or books are rectangles. Such activities help our little learners understand math with delight something our teachers must encourage.

    Exploring Language: English Activities

As Best Daycare in al Khalidiya, we explored the magical realm of English. Language development in nursery years is integral, so our emphasis was placed upon vocabulary development, listening skills development and storytelling fun.
At our English corner, activity was bustling, Children engaged in alphabet matching games where uppercase letters paired up with their lowercase counterparts to increase letter recognition – an integral step toward reading! This activity provided children an enjoyable learning experience as they practiced reading together.
Storytime was an unforgettable highlight. Our teachers read engaging books related to our theme of thankfulness while children sat attentively, asked questions, and helped predict what might come next in the story. Additionally, phonics practice through songs and rhymes provided an additional means of tuning their ears to various sounds that comprise words. Making English an interactive experience helped build confidence among both speakers and listeners.
