    Letter Rr

Early childhood is a time of curiosity, discovery, and joyful learning. At Little Feet Nursery, Al Khalidiya we believe that children learn best when education is engaging, meaningful, and connected to everyday life. Our recent classroom activities beautifully combined language development and life skills through an exciting English session introducing the Letter Rr and Healthy and Unhealthy Food activity. These thoughtfully planned sessions encouraged children to learn, explore, and make connections in a fun and age-appropriate way.

    Morning Circle: Meeting Letter Rr

Tracing letters in the air was fun! Big lines dipped down, big jumps up, curves around and kicked out legs! We practiced both uppercase ‘R’s and lowercase ‘rs, discussing their similarities yet different shapes; to build visual recognition we searched around for objects starting with R like Rug, Robot toy or pictures of Rainbow.

    Exploring Healthy and Unhealthy Foods

Alongside the English session, children participated in a Healthy and Unhealthy Food activity designed to introduce basic concepts of nutrition and healthy habits. Understanding food choices at an early age plays an important role in building lifelong healthy habits.

Using colorful pictures, toy foods, and real-life examples, children were introduced to a variety of food items. They learned to identify Healthy Foods such as fruits, vegetables, milk, and grains, as well as unhealthy foods like sugary snacks, chocolates, and fried items.

    The Crunchy Radish

At first sight was an array of crunchier radishes: this vegetable was something new for most children in attendance. As we passed them around so everyone could experience its smooth skin and vibrant pinkish-red color, we also discussed its underground origin and discussed roots being roots themselves . When cut open we could reveal its stark white interior while discussing this dichotomy in colors.

    The Sweet Raspberry

Next came a container of raspberries. Their bumpy, soft exterior is instantly captivating for toddlers while their hollow center makes for fascinating exploration. We named them rubies because of their vivid red hue. Children learned that raspberries contain vitamins which support fast running speeds while providing vital strength-building benefits to keep themselves running faster for longer.

    Rice and Raisins

Finally, we presented jars of raw and dried raisins. We discussed their textures hard grains of raw rice against soft wrinkled raisins while discussing their benefits compared with one another: hard grains giving energy while raisins provide sweet treats made from grapes that provide energy and sweetness alike.

    Explore Flavors Through Tasting Parties

Education at our Nursery in Sharjah involves engaging all five senses; taste is especially popular. After cleansing our hands thoroughly, we prepared a small tasting platter.
Children proved themselves as brave explorers as they took bites out of the crunchy red pepper and described its juicy, loud crunch when chewing it. Radishes received mixed reactions – some enjoyed its peppery snap while others found it too spicy; which led them into discussing that everyone’s tastes vary and everyone can have different preferences for foods.

A Fun and Joyful Learning Environment

The classroom was filled with excitement, curiosity, and smiles throughout the sessions. Children actively participated, asked questions, and enjoyed learning through play. The warm and supportive environment allowed them to express themselves freely and learn at their own pace.

Our dedicated educators carefully plan activities that align with early learning goals while keeping children happy and engaged. Every activity is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning from an early age.

    Why Integrative Learning Matters

Activities like this form a cornerstone of our curriculum. When parents search for Day Care in Sharjah, they want an environment beyond simple supervision, an environment in which learning becomes an intrinsic component of play.
This method ensures children don’t simply memorize symbols; they also gain an understanding of their environment. Children learn that letters form words used to describe food we eat, games we play and art we create encouraging even picky eaters to try new foods just because it fits with today’s theme! It promotes early healthy relationships between food and physical activity by keeping focused.

    Day to Remember

The Learning Letter Rr and Exploring Healthy Foods activities were a perfect blend of fun, education, and life skills. Through interactive English sessions and engaging food activities, our little learners developed language skills, nutritional awareness, and confidence all while enjoying every moment.
