At Little Feet Nursery, we believe the journey starts the moment children walk through our doors and this makes International Day of Education such an important date on our calendar not simply because it marks one more date; rather it celebrates all that potential lies within each child and their life.
Recently, our nursery came alive with excitement, color, and eager questions as we commemorated an international holiday commemorating learning’s role in peacemaking and development.

Meaning of Today : What It Represents

The International Day of Education was created by the UN General Assembly as a day to recognize how education fosters peace and development worldwide. While this concept might seem complex to toddlers and preschoolers, its central message remains simple: learning unites us all.
Little Feet transformed these global goals into concepts our students could grasp and enjoy, such as friendship, sharing and discovery of new things. This enabled our instructors to show our children that learning should not be seen as a chore but instead be treated like an adventure that connects them with wider society.

An Embodying Culture and Knowledge.

As a leading Nursery School in Sharjah, we take great pleasure in hosting such an eclectic family community. At our celebration event we honored this diversity with immersive activities designed to resemble festival-like festivities where education took center stage as our guest of honor.

Art as a Universal Language

Little Feet Celebrations always involve creativity. In honor of International Day of Education, our art area was turned into an interactive workshop. Children were encouraged to “paint their future.”
Students used vibrant colors and mixed media to craft artwork that represented what they value most about learning: some painted animals while others painted stars or simply enjoyed mixing colors for sensory play.

Interactive Learning Stations

As part of our effort to maintain energy in our nursery, we created interactive learning stations throughout. Each station was intended to engage different senses and learning styles: sensory bins filled with textures that represented different environments; music stations where children explored rhythms from around the globe; construction zones where children constructed future Schools of Their Choice.“
These activities proved our belief that play is the highest form of research. Through engaging their hands and minds simultaneously, children learned complex concepts about structure, rhythm, and texture without even realizing they were “studying.”

More Than Just Child Care

International Day of Education events highlight the difference between standard facilities and comprehensive educational environments, like our Child Care Nursery. When parents search for childcare they generally look for safety and supervision ours provides both, but beyond this our mission goes much deeper.
At our event, we emphasized three core values:
Curiosity: Encouraging children to ask questions and seek answers.
Creativity: Offering tools and freedom for expressing ideas.
Community: Teaching participants how to work together cooperatively while respecting one another’s rights.

Attributes of Our Educators

The success of our International Day of Education celebration was due in large part to our dedicated staff. They spent months planning activities that would engage children while being age appropriate; decorating classrooms to spark curiosity when children entered; facilitating each activity patiently with enthusiasm – these individuals played an instrumental part in its success!

Looking Forward

As a Nursery school in Sharjah that prioritizes global observances. Our curriculum remains relevant, dynamic and focused on holistic child development. Although its celebration may come once every year, its legacy lives on daily in our classrooms! We look forward to next year’s celebration.
Every time a child learns how to tie their shoelace, recognizes a letter they didn’t previously recognize, shares toys with friends or poses questions about the sky we celebrate education! At Little Feet Nursery every day is an opportunity for children to grow into confident young adults prepared to face tomorrow with optimism.

Children are born scientists. From the moment they can grasp a toy they are exploring testing and learning about the world around them. At Little Feet Nursery a leading nursery in Sharjah we channel this innate curiosity into a lifelong love for discovery. This post will explore how our unique approach helps little learners discover the world through the wonders of science.

Creating a Stimulating Environment

A child’s environment is their first teacher. That’s why our nursery is designed to be a warm nurturing and inspiring space that invites exploration. Every corner of our nursery is filled with opportunities for discovery. From sensory tables filled with different textures to bright open play areas we create a stimulating setting where children feel safe and motivated to explore their surroundings, ask questions and make new connections.

We carefully select materials that appeal to young children’s natural curiosity. Our learning spaces include nature corners where children can examine leaves, rocks and shells with magnifying glasses. We have light tables where they can explore transparency and shadows. Simple tools like measuring cups, funnels and containers become instruments of discovery during water and sand play. The layout of our classrooms supports independent exploration with low shelves making materials easily accessible. This independence is crucial for developing the confidence to ask questions and seek answers skills that every good scientist needs.

A Play-Based Montessori Approach

We believe that learning should be joyful. Little Feet Nursery combines a play-based Montessori approach with modern teaching methods to make learning engaging and effective. Instead of formal lessons we introduce scientific concepts through play.

Hands-On Science Activities

Our daily activities turn simple play into powerful learning experiences. Here are some ways we bring science to life:

Garden Exploration: Children learn about botany by planting seeds in our garden and watching them grow. They water the plants, observe changes day by day and learn about what plants need to survive. This teaches patience, responsibility and the life cycle of plants.

Building and Construction: Children explore basic physics by building tall towers with blocks and discovering what makes them tumble. Through trial and error they begin to understand concepts like balance gravity and stability without even realizing they’re learning complex scientific principles.

Water Play Experiments: Water play activities become lessons in buoyancy as children experiment with which objects sink and which float. They also learn about volume pouring and measuring while having fun splashing and exploring.

Color Mixing Adventures: Simple art activities teach children about primary and secondary colors. They discover that blue and yellow make green and red and blue create purple. This introduces them to basic chemistry concepts in a colorful engaging way.

Learning at Their Own Pace

Our Montessori-inspired approach means that children learn at their own pace. There’s no pressure to memorize facts or complete worksheets. Instead they engage deeply with materials and ideas that interest them. A child fascinated by insects might spend days observing bugs in our outdoor area while another child might be drawn to mixing colors and exploring art. Both are observing hypothesizing and drawing conclusions.

Integrating Science into the EYFS Curriculum

Our curriculum is built on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, a standard for learning development and care for children from birth to five years old. At our preschool in Sharjah we integrate science across all areas of learning including our STEAM-based activities (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math).

This integrated approach means a simple art project can become a science experiment about color mixing or a storytelling session can lead to a discussion about different animal habitats. By weaving science into everyday activities we help children see that it’s all around them, sparking their curiosity and building a strong foundation for future learning.

Science in early childhood isn’t about memorizing facts or understanding complex formulas. It’s about developing a questioning mind and learning how to find answers. When children wonder why the sky is blue, why ice melts or how birds fly they’re thinking like scientists. Our teachers encourage these questions and help children explore possible answers through simple experiments and observations. We celebrate the process of discovery, not just the final answer teaching children that mistakes are part of learning and that persistence is important.

Focusing on Holistic Development

At Little Feet Nursery our goal is to support the whole child. We focus on holistic development which means we nurture their emotional, social and cognitive growth. Science education plays a vital role in this process.

When children work together on a science project they learn valuable social skills like communication and teamwork. They practice taking turns sharing materials and listening to each other’s ideas. When an experiment doesn’t go as planned they develop emotional resilience and problem-solving abilities. They learn to handle disappointment, adjust their approach and try again. As they observe questions and experiment they sharpen their cognitive skills and critical thinking. They learn to pay attention to details, make predictions, compare results and draw conclusions.

We create a supportive environment where children can grow into well-rounded confident individuals. Our teachers know each child as an individual, understanding their strengths, interests and areas where they need support.

Your Trusted Partner in Early Education

For over 19 years Little Feet Nursery has been a trusted choice for early childhood education in Sharjah. By blending a play-based Montessori philosophy with the EYFS curriculum we provide a nurturing environment where children can explore their world, develop a passion for learning and build the skills they need to succeed. Our commitment to care safety and holistic development is why so many families choose us as the best nursery in Sharjah for their little ones.

Our experienced teachers are passionate about early childhood education and understand how young children learn best. We believe that the early years are the most important time in a child’s education. The experiences children have now shape their attitudes toward learning for years to come. By making science exploration fun, accessible and meaningful we help children develop a love for discovery that will serve them throughout their educational journey and beyond.

Choosing the right educational path for your child is one of the most significant decisions a parent can make. The early years are crucial for development, laying a foundation for future learning and success. Early childhood education provides children with the tools they need to thrive not just academically, but also socially and emotionally. For parents in the UAE, enrolling their child in a quality preschool in Sharjah offers a unique advantage, combining excellent educational standards with a nurturing environment.

This guide will explore the benefits of preschool education, explain why Sharjah is an ideal location for your child’s first school experience, and offer tips on what to look for in a top-tier nursery.

The Powerful Benefits of Preschool Education

Preschool is far more than just a place for children to spend their days. It is a structured environment designed to foster holistic development. A top preschool in Sharjah can offer immense benefits that prepare children for primary school and beyond.

Social and Emotional Growth

One of the most significant advantages of preschool is the opportunity for social interaction. Children learn to share, cooperate, and communicate with their peers and teachers. They develop empathy by understanding others’ feelings and learn to manage their own emotions in a supportive setting. These early social skills are fundamental for building healthy relationships throughout their lives.

Cognitive and Language Development

Preschool provides a rich learning environment that stimulates a child’s curiosity. Through play-based activities, storytelling, and guided learning, children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Their language and vocabulary expand rapidly as they interact with others and engage with new concepts. This cognitive stimulation prepares them for the more formal academic challenges of primary school.

Building Independence and Confidence

In a preschool setting, children are encouraged to perform age-appropriate tasks independently, from putting away their toys to participating in group activities. This sense of responsibility builds their self-esteem and confidence. As they master new skills and overcome small challenges, they develop a positive “I can do it” attitude that will serve them well in the future.

Why Choose a Preschool in Sharjah?

Sharjah is recognized for its commitment to education and culture, making it an excellent choice for your child’s early learning journey. The city maintains high educational standards and offers a safe, family-friendly environment that is conducive to growth.

Nurseries in Sharjah, such as Little Feet Nursery, adhere to robust educational frameworks that ensure a high standard of care and learning. The emirate’s focus on creating a supportive community means that preschools here often have access to excellent resources and well-qualified educators dedicated to early childhood development. This commitment ensures that your child receives a top-quality education from the very beginning.

What to Look for in a Quality Preschool

When selecting a preschool in Sharjah, it’s important to know what features signify a high-quality program. Here are a few key aspects to consider during your search:

A Well-Rounded Curriculum: Look for a curriculum that balances structured learning with play. Programs that incorporate activities for cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development are ideal. At Little Feet Nursery, we offer a curriculum designed to foster curiosity and a love for learning through engaging, hands-on activities.

Qualified and Caring Teachers: The quality of the teachers is paramount. Educators should be certified in early childhood education and, just as importantly, have a genuine passion for working with young children. A low student-to-teacher ratio is also a good indicator of personalized attention.

Safe and Stimulating Facilities: The physical environment should be safe, clean, and designed to encourage exploration. Look for well-equipped classrooms, secure outdoor play areas, and a variety of learning materials that cater to different interests and developmental stages.

Positive Parent Communication: A strong partnership between parents and the preschool is essential. The nursery should have clear communication channels to keep you informed about your child’s progress and daily activities.

Give Your Child a Foundation for a Bright Future

Enrolling your child in a quality preschool or playschool in Sharjah is an investment in their future. The social, emotional, and cognitive skills they develop during these formative years will provide a solid foundation for lifelong learning and personal growth. By choosing a reputable institution like Little Feet Nursery, you are giving your child the best possible start on their educational journey.

Explore our programs today or contact us to see how we can help your child blossom in a supportive and enriching environment.

Every October 24th, people around the world come together to celebrate United Nations Day. This global observance marks the anniversary of the UN Charter and honors the organization’s mission to promote peace, human rights, and cooperation among nations. While this day holds significance for adults, it’s equally important for young children to learn about these values early on.

At Little Feet Nursery in Sharjah, we believe that teaching children about world peace, cultural diversity, and global citizenship starts in the earliest years. Our recent United Nations Day celebration brought these concepts to life through engaging activities designed specifically for our youngest learners.

A Day of Global Discovery

The United Nations Day celebration at our child care nursery transformed our learning spaces into a window to the world. Children arrived to find colorful decorations representing different countries and cultures, setting the stage for a day filled with discovery and learning.

Our educators carefully planned activities that would make complex global concepts accessible to young minds. The goal wasn’t just to entertain but to plant seeds of understanding about the diverse world we share.

Hands-On Learning About World Cultures

Throughout the day, children participated in various activities that brought different cultures to life. One of the highlights was our “Around the World” stations, where each area represented a different country. Children explored traditional clothing, tasted simple foods from various cuisines (with all necessary dietary considerations), and learned basic greetings in multiple languages.

The art corner buzzed with creativity as children made flags from different nations. This simple activity helped them understand that while we all come from different places, we’re part of one global community. This discussion helped children connect the purpose of the organization with the fun and meaning behind United Nations Day.

Music played a central role in our celebration. Children learned songs from different cultures and participated in simple dances. These musical experiences showed them that while expressions may differ, joy and celebration are universal languages that connect us all.

Teaching Peace and Cooperation

One of the most meaningful aspects of our United Nations Day celebration was teaching children about peace and cooperation. Through storytelling and interactive play, we introduced concepts like sharing, kindness, and helping others, values that form the foundation of global citizenship.

Our nursery school in Sharjah incorporated age-appropriate discussions about how people around the world work together to address challenges like protecting the environment and helping those in need. Children learned that even small actions, like recycling or being kind to others, contribute to making the world a better place.

What Our Little Learners Gained

The impact of this celebration extended far beyond a single day of activities. Children at Little Feet Nursery developed a greater awareness of the world beyond their immediate surroundings. They began to understand that people may look different, speak different languages, and celebrate different traditions, but we all share common needs and dreams.

Parents reported that their children came home excited to share what they’d learned about different countries and cultures. Many children showed increased curiosity about world maps and asked questions about people in other parts of the world. This natural curiosity is exactly what we hoped to spark.

The event also strengthened important social-emotional skills. Through activities that required cooperation and sharing, children practiced the same principles that guide international relations. They learned that working together makes us stronger and that respecting differences makes our community richer.

Building Global Citizens from the Start

At Little Feet Nursery, we’re committed to providing holistic education that prepares children not just for school, but for life in an interconnected world. Our United Nations Day celebration exemplifies this commitment by introducing global awareness at the earliest stages of development.

Teaching young children about diversity, peace, and global issues isn’t about burdening them with complex problems. It’s about nurturing open minds, compassionate hearts, and a sense of connection to the wider world. These early lessons create a foundation for becoming informed, empathetic global citizens.

As a leading nursery in Sharjah, we understand that quality early childhood education goes beyond academics. It includes fostering values like respect, cooperation, and cultural appreciation. Events like our United Nations Day celebration are integral to this mission, making learning about the world engaging and meaningful for our youngest students.

Our United Nations Day celebration is one of the many ways we encourage young learners to appreciate global harmony and cultural diversity. By celebrating diversity and promoting understanding, we’re helping shape a generation that values cooperation over conflict and sees differences as opportunities for learning rather than division.

Give your child the gift of global learning at Little Feet Nursery in Sharjah.
Join us in shaping young minds to be curious, compassionate, and culturally aware through exciting activities and celebration similar to United Nations Day. Contact us to learn more or enroll your child and let them take the first step toward a brighter, more connected future.

If you’re looking for the best nursery in Sharjah, you might be asking yourself: what kind of learning is best for my little one? The answer is simple, play-based learning. This isn’t just playtime. It’s a smart way of teaching that helps children grow and learn naturally.

Play-based learning means children learn by doing, exploring, and playing. Instead of sitting still and trying to remember things, kids learn through fun activities. They touch things, try new ideas, and discover the world around them. This is how top nurseries in Sharjah teach young children today.

How Play-Based Learning Helps Your Child

Learning By Doing

When children participate in play-based learning activities their brains are actually working hard. Building with blocks helps them understand shapes and counting. Sorting toys by color teaches them to group things together. Playing with water and sand helps them learn about science. These fun activities are actually teaching important skills that will help them in school later.

Studies show that children who learn through play do better in school when they grow up. They learn to think carefully, ask good questions, and figure things out on their own. They become curious learners who love discovering new things.

Making Friends and Understanding Feelings

Playing with other children teaches kids how to make friends. They learn to share their toys, wait for their turn, and work out small disagreements. When a child plays house with friends, they practice talking, listening, and working together. Through play-based learning, children learn to understand their own feelings and care about how others feel.

At a good Montessori nursery in Sharjah, teachers watch how children play together. They help when needed but also let children solve small problems by themselves. This builds confidence and makes children feel capable. When a child figures out how to share toys or take turns on the swing, they feel proud and independent.

Thinking in New Ways

Play helps children think creatively and solve problems. When kids face a challenge during play, they find clever solutions. A blanket becomes a tent. A box becomes a car or a spaceship. Sticks become magic wands. This creative thinking is not just fun it helps them solve real problems later in life, both in school and beyond.

Children who play regularly learn to look at problems from different angles. They don’t give up easily because play-based learning teaches them that trying different ways is part of the fun.

What Play-Based Learning Looks Like

Pretend Play

When children play pretend, they learn so much. Playing “doctor” helps them understand feelings and be kind to others. Playing “shop” teaches them about counting and handling money. Playing “teacher” helps them practice what they’ve learned and become little leaders. These pretend games help children learn new words, understand the world around them, and make sense of their own experiences.

Playing Outside

Outdoor play is very important for learning and growing. Collecting rocks and leaves teaches children about nature and science. Watching bugs helps them learn to observe carefully. Climbing and running helps their bodies grow strong and healthy. Playing in the garden helps them understand where plants come from. Being outside gives children new experiences that help their brains develop in ways that staying indoors cannot match.

The fresh air and natural environment also help children feel calm and happy. They learn to appreciate nature and understand the world they live in.
To learn more about how hands-on and sensory experiences enhance your child’s development, read our post on How Sensory Play Shapes Cognitive and Emotional Growth.

Games and Puzzles

Simple games and puzzles are wonderful for learning. Memory games make their memory stronger and help them concentrate. Matching games get them ready for math by teaching patterns. Working on puzzles together teaches teamwork and patience. These activities help children focus for longer periods and not give up when something is hard. They learn that with effort and patience, they can finish difficult tasks.

Building Skills for Life

The good things from play-based learning last forever. Children who learn this way are better at controlling their emotions and behavior. They make friends more easily and know how to work well with others. Most importantly, they become excited about learning new things instead of being scared or worried about school.

Good nurseries in Sharjah that use play-based learning create happy places where children naturally grow and learn. They understand that young children don’t need to rush into formal lessons with books and worksheets. Instead, they need time to build basic skills through play. These skills make all future learning easier, more fun, and more successful.

Making the Right Choice for Your Child

For parents who want the best start for their children, choosing a nursery in Sharjah that focuses on play-based learning is very important. At Little Feet Nursery, we’ve seen how this way of teaching changes children’s lives. They don’t just learn more they also fall in love with learning itself.

We watch children transform from shy, uncertain toddlers into confident, curious learners who can’t wait to discover something new each day. They ask questions, try new activities, and help their friends. They become ready for bigger challenges with excitement instead of fear.

Your child’s early years are special and precious. These years shape how your child will feel about learning for the rest of their life.
To learn more about how these early experiences lead to future success, explore our detailed post on The Benefits of Early Learning.

The choice of the ideal nursery in Sharjah for your baby is among the most important choices you’ll have to make as parents. A well-designed early childhood environment influences your child’s social abilities as well as their foundation for learning and overall development in the crucial years of their formative years.

There are a lot of nurseries in Sharjah offering different options and services. The options can be overwhelming. This guide will take you through the most important elements to be considered when evaluating daycare centers and preschools and will help you make a well-informed choice that is in line with the values of your family as well as the unique needs of your child.

Key Factors to Consider When Choosing a Nursery

Curriculum and Teaching Methods

The curriculum of every preschool in Sharjah should match the child’s educational style and your goals for education. Some nurseries adhere to strict academic curriculums, while others focus on play-based learning or Montessori techniques.

Visit nurseries in the future to observe how the teachers engage with the children. You should look for places that mix organized activities and free play that encourage creativity and help develop vital skills like the development of language numbers, language development, and social interaction.

Safety and Security Measures

Security is the most important factor when picking the best daycare in Sharjah. Review the security policies of the establishment that include controlled entry systems and background checks for employees and emergency procedures. Verify that play areas are appropriate for children of all ages and well maintained, as well as having the appropriate supervision ratios.

Find out about their health policy, and the way they deal with illness medications, illness, and the management of allergies. The best nursery in Sharjah will be equipped with clear, thorough security measures that provide you with total assurance.

Location and Accessibility

Be sure to consider the proximity of your workplace or home when selecting the best preschool in Sharjah. The convenience of a location helps reduce anxiety and makes drop-offs and pick-ups easier to manage, especially during the busy mornings.

Examine parking options as well as the traffic patterns in peak hours and the availability of public transportation. Some nurseries provide transportation services which can be beneficial in accordance with your schedule and where you live.

Staff Qualifications and Experience

The quality of early childhood education relies heavily on skilled, knowledgeable teachers. Ask about credentials for teachers and ongoing training programs and the rate of staff turnover. The best preschool in Sharjah will have certified early childhood educators who have a genuine love for working with children.

Be aware of how staff members interact with parents and children. They must be friendly and patient. They should also be responsive to each person’s needs while maintaining the boundaries of their profession.

Facilities and Resources

Modern facilities that are well-equipped and modern enhance the learning experience of your child. Choose toys that are age-appropriate as well as books and other educational resources. Play areas outdoors should be secure and enjoyable and provide the chance for physical development as well as exploration.

Think about other amenities such as nap areas for kids and rooms specifically designed to accommodate different activities like music, art or reading.

Top Nursery Option in Sharjah

Little Feet Nursery stands out as an outstanding choice for parents who want to receive high-quality early preschool schooling in Sharjah.
Making the Right Choice

Each family’s unique situation and priorities. Make a list of your individual needs, such as the budget and hours of operation and any other special needs your child may have.

Make visits to your shortlisted nurseries during normal operating hours to observe the setting in motion. Bring your child to test their comfort level and the interest in the environment. Don’t be afraid to trust your gut; you are the best judge of your child’s personality.

Do not hesitate to ask specific questions regarding policies, procedures and the educational philosophy. A trusted nursery will be happy to answer your questions and offer clear detailed and comprehensive responses.

Take the Next Step in Your Child’s Journey

The selection of the ideal nursery in Sharjah requires careful assessment of many aspects, from the educational approach to security measures. The best match is when a nursery’s programs are in line with your child’s personality, his learning style, and family beliefs.

Begin your search as early as possible and visit a variety of choices and then evaluate each one carefully. The time you spend in finding the right early childhood environment will be beneficial to your child for the years to come, providing an excellent foundation for their future learning and growth.

Nursery drop-off can be a stressful time for both children and parents. Watching your child cry when you leave can be a heartbreaking experience and often an expected part of their development. This condition, referred to as separation anxiety, is a typical occurrence for preschoolers and toddlers. Knowing what triggers it and how to handle it can turn tearful goodbyes into smooth transitions.

This guide provides practical advice to assist you and your child navigate separation anxiety, making drop-offs at our nursery in Sharjah a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

What is Separation Anxiety?

Separation Anxiety is a normal stage in development when children become nervous when separated by their main caregiver. It typically occurs between the ages of 10-18 months, but may reappear when children enter kindergarten or pre-school. Common signs include crying, clinging or refusing to leave the room. The triggers could be as simple as changing routines or tiredness. It could also be due to the unpredictability of a brand new preschool in Sharjah. Understanding these indicators will be your first move towards making sure your child feels secure.

Before the Drop-Off: Setting the Stage for Success

The preparation is crucial to ease your child’s anxiety. A bit of preparation prior to the start of their first day could be a huge difference.
For more practical tips on making that first day smoother, check out our blog Prepare Your Child for First Day at Nursery.

Make them familiar with the nursery

Before their official start date, go to the nursery with your child. Explore the play area and classrooms as you sit at their side. Introduce them with their teacher as well as others. This will make the new place seem less intimidating and like a place that is fun to be. A lot of nurseries in Sharjah encourage these initial visits.

Talk Positively About Nursery

In the days prior to the day they start, discuss excitedly about all the fun activities they’ll do in their new daycare in Sharjah. Talk about the new friends they’ll make, the toys they’ll play with, as well as the songs they’ll sing. Your positive attitude can be infectious and will influence their impression of the experience.

At Drop-Off: The Quick Goodbye

How you deal with the moment could reduce or increase the separation anxiety of your child.

Create a Consistent Goodbye Routine

A short, sweet and consistent goodbye can be extremely comforting. It could be a sweet handshake, a hug or an embrace, or even an enthusiastic “see you later, alligator!” Consistent routines provide certainty and reassure children that it’s time to leave, but you’ll be back.
To understand why consistency and structure are so powerful for young learners, explore our blog How Routine Helps In Child Development.

Be Confident and Reassuring

Even if you’re anxious, try to be calm and confident. Your child should be given a big embrace, let them know how much you are proud of them, and tell them that you’ll be there to pick them up later. After that, hand them to a teacher, and then leave without turning at them. The longer you wait to say goodbye, or return when they cry could cause the separation to be more difficult for the child in the end.

We provide an inviting and warm environment that makes children feel secure and loved. Our teachers are skilled in stimulating children and distracting them by engaging them in fun activities the minute they arrive, allowing them to divert their attention from the parents’ departure to the exciting upcoming day.

After the Drop-Off: Managing Your Own Feelings

It’s equally important for parents to control their anxiety. It’s normal to feel sad or anxious after you’ve left your child crying.

Trust the Teachers

Remind yourself that your child is in capable and caring hands. The staff at your preferred nursery in Sharjah have managed this issue numerous times. You can contact the nursery to get an update later in the day. In many cases, the child’s tears have stopped minutes after you left.

Stay Busy

Have a cup of coffee with a friend or go straight to work following drop-off. Engaging yourself in activities can keep you from dwelling on the painful goodbyes and allow you to return to pick-up feeling more relaxed and optimistic.

Building Confidence Together

Beating separation anxiety is a journey which requires patience, consistency and open communication between nursery staff and parents. Working together we can assist your child to develop confidence as well as independence and a passion for learning. With these strategies, those tearful goodbyes will soon become happy waves as your child eagerly runs into their classroom at Little Feet Nursery.
Contact us to enroll your child

Starting nursery is an important moment for both you and your child. The joy of watching your little one make their first steps towards independence could quickly become a source of worry as you consider how they’ll adjust to a new setting. You may be considering the possibility of a nursery in Sharjah or have already signed up your child for a nursery, the right preparation could be the key to making sure that the transition is smooth.

The best part? If you plan your activities with care and employ the appropriate approach, you will ensure that your child is comfortable as well as excited for their upcoming nursery adventure. These 9 practical suggestions will guide you through the process of preparation, ensuring that both you and your child are prepared for the exciting new chapter.

Visit the Nursery in Advance

Comfort is a result of familiarity, particularly for children who thrive on the certainty of. Make a plan to visit the preferred nursery in Sharjah well before the official date for start. During your visit, stroll through the playground, classrooms and common areas together with your child.

Highlight exciting features such as the fun equipment for play and art materials or the stories corners. Allow your child to play in their own way, playing with toys and gaining a sense of the space. There are many top nurseries in Sharjah, including Little Feet Nursery are open to the pre-starting visits as they know how important it is to a child’s safety.

The staff can ask if you are able to have a brief time at the school while you’re there. This small time of interaction will help your child connect the classroom with positive experiences instead of the unknowable.

Talk Positively About Nursery

Your attitude towards the nursery experience can significantly influence the perception of your child. Talk about nursery for a few weeks prior to the day of the nursery’s opening with a positive and engaging language.

Instead of focusing on the separation aspect, emphasize the fun activities your child will love. Use phrases such as “You’re going to paint beautiful pictures” or “There will be so many new friends to play with.” Tell stories regarding the new songs that they’ll be learning and the books they’ll read along with the game they’ll be playing.

If you are discussing the best nursery in Sharjah options with other parents, try to keep the conversation lively as long as your child is within the range of your child’s ears. Children are able to pick the anxieties of adults and so keeping their enthusiasm high will help increase their enthusiasm rather than anxiety.

Practice the Daily Routine

Children are at ease knowing what they can expect. Two weeks prior to starting at the preschool in Sharjah, begin creating a routine that resembles the schedule of your nursery.

Get your child up at the time that they’ll need to be up in the morning to go to nursery. Make a habit of eating breakfast within a certain time frame and dressing independently, or using the bathroom with no assistance. If the nursery is governed by certain hours for meals or nap schedules you can gradually alter your routine at home to follow.

Create a visual plan with simple sketches or pictures depicting the order of everyday activities. This can help your child learn the next step of their day, which reduces anxiety over the unknown.

Prepare a Comfort Item

The familiar objects from the home offer an enormous amount of emotional support during the first few days at a brand newly opened daycare in Sharjah. Pick something small and easy to carry that has meaning to your child. It could be a pet or a photo of the family, or even a unique bracelet.

Introduce this toy as your “nursery buddy” that will keep them occupied while they embark on a new adventure. Certain children will appreciate the idea of having a piece of cloth that has their parents’ scent on it, whereas others prefer to have a small item you can put in your pockets.
