Learning About Nature on Green Day at Little Feet.

    Green Day

At Little Feet Nursery we recently held our much-awaited event dedicated to celebrating and teaching kids about nature. Experience is magic when it comes to children discovering nature for the first time, whether that means feeling cool, damp soil running through their fingers or witnessing seedlings sprout. More than simply wearing one hue though; Green Day offered children an interactive educational experience designed to engage their senses and curiosity through hands-on activities and other engaging programs.

The nursery had been transformed into an array of green hues as students, teachers and staff all arrived clad in different hues of green to mark this memorable event.

    A Morning of Discovery

At first light of dawn on “Green Day”, educators used engaging storytelling techniques to introduce children to the concept. Rows of eager faces nodded along in response, already grasping basic principles of kindness toward nature. It was heartwarming seeing so much enthusiasm around earth care among its attendees.

Get Your Hands Dirty: Planting Activity

Under their teachers’ close supervision, children took turns filling pots with soil for sensory play, something crucial for early development; feeling its texture helps develop fine motor skills and sensory processing capabilities. After this activity they were given seeds to plant. Their teachers explained that just like children need food and water in order to thrive; seeds require soil, water and sunlight in order to thrive too.

Excitement was palpable as tiny hands carefully patted down soil and watered their pot with cans full of water from watering cans. We believe that the Best Nurseries in Sharjah are those that recognize the classroom isn’t confined to four walls. We strive to create an environment where curiosity is celebrated and the natural world is an integral part of learning.

    Recycled Materials to Encourage Creativity

Half the groups were out gardening while others participated in arts and crafts sessions with an eco-conscious twist. Empty cardboard rolls, plastic bottles with labels removed for recycling purposes and scrap paper were turned into stunning works of art!

Children created “Nature Collages” using leaves and twigs collected from our nursery grounds combined with recycled materials to form “Nature Collages.” Not only was this activity enjoyable and educational; it was also an exercise in resourcefulness in line with our vision to be a forward-thinking nursery in Sharjah!

    Why Green Day Matters

Little Feet has long embraced events like Green Day as part of our Environmental Education mission, understanding its significance for children as early as possible. Environmental education goes far beyond biology; it teaches empathy as children learn how to care for living things like fragile plants that require tending.

Cultivating the Next Generation of Ecologists

As the day came to a close, children displayed their potted plants and recycled art projects with pride, their sense of achievement being palpable within the room – not simply taking home crafts but creating living reminders of our relationship to Mother Earth.

Sharjah: Envision a Greener Future Now

Selecting an environment suitable for early years development is a serious endeavor. Parents seeking Nurseries in Sharjah frequently prioritize institutions that go beyond simple supervision; they search out places which spark curiosity and cultivate an appetite for learning.

Little Feet’s Green Day celebration embodies our dedication to offering children an engaging educational experience, not just counting lessons; instead we emphasize instilling values like kindness and caring about the planet early. By teaching these skills ourselves we hope that future generations are not just smart but also kind and environmentally aware.

Green Day celebration set a fantastic precedent, setting us all off on an incredible academic year ahead! We look forward to watching both students and plants flourish during this academic year.
